Episode 9: Walking Death

The Reaper and Cali are going to head for Deadtrip. Will they defeat Maxwell and the Greater Ghouls or will they descend into darkness.

Scene 1

 

The Reaper and Cali stand their guard facing all the Ghouls. Stock gets in his fighting stance.

 

Stock: Come on Reaper, we got Boss waitin for you back there.

 

Reaper: I will head back there!

 

Stock: Really, thats fine, but I just wanna try to kill you. Besides, these Ghouls are hungry!

 

Reaper: YOU ARE TO ONLY FACE ME...NOT THESE PEOPLE!!

 

Stock: These Ghouls don't listen to human words boy!

 

Stock levitates pebbles and pushes all of them to Joseph. Joseph falls on the ground. The Ghouls come in charging at the Reaper and Cali. They both fight off the Ghouls. Many of the Ghouls get dismembered. The blood sprays onto the house. Blood accumulates onto Cali. The Reaper shoots the Brute Ghouls at their weak spots. The Ghouls then grab Cali and attempt to devour her. The Reaper shoots all of the Ghouls on the head to save her. The Brute Ghouls leap from far distance. The Reaper and Cali dodge their impact. Stock sinks into the ground. Cali whips the Brute Ghouls. The Reaper dives in to dismember the Brute Ghouls. They each lose their limbs and get executed. The remaining Ghouls crawl from the top of the house. The Ghouls then jump to the ground. One of them tries to ride the Reaper. The Reaper throws it down and steps on its head until the brains splatter. Cali whips all of them and pulls out her shot gun. She shoots off one arm of a Ghoul. She then shoots it on the stomach which pushes it back. She then goes on a shotgun spree and kills the remaining Ghouls. Joseph gets back up after the Ghouls died.

 

Cali: You okay Joseph?

 

Joseph: Yea....Im fine!

 

Stock comes up from the ground. He punches through Joseph's stomach. The Reaper tries to shoot Stock at the head but Stock swiftly dodges the bullet. He uses the earth from the ground to trap the Reaper. The Reaper then gets stuck on the ground. Stock then sinks him half way to the ground. Stock throws rocks at Cali before she tries to whip him. Joseph grabs his shotgun and hits Stock's left knee with the butt of the gun. Cali then whips Stock down. Cali then blasts Stock's chest with the Shotgun. The Reaper then pulls himself off the ground and grabs his pistol. He shoots Stock at his forehead. The Blood sprays from both wounds of the head. The Reaper then walks to Joseph and puts his hand on his wounds.

 

Joseph: Its you Reaper...isn't it? Why didn't you take my offer last time we met?

 

Reaper: I didn't need money from you. I only collect money from people who hire me at that time.

 

Cali: (suprised) What money and offer? Are you...that...

 

Joseph: Thats right, I was one of them hostages!

 

Reaper: Im sorry I couldn't save you this time.

 

Joseph: Its alright Reaper...Im an old timer now. You sure were right Reaper....you were hunting some darkness out there.

 

Reaper: I am still hunting it, and it will be the end when I kill him.

 

Cali: Come on...we gotta help you now.

 

Joseph: Dont...please...I lived long enough. Killing those demons and repaying repsects to the Reaper is okay for me. My life is complete.

 

Joseph then stops breathing. Cali and the Reaper take off their hats.

 

Reaper: rest in peace Joseph.

 

Cali: What an unfortunate end for him.

 

Reaper: I am the walking death Cali. Everywhere I go, everything I do is pain and violence.

 

Cali: (worried) Mister Reaper!

 

Reaper: NOW THIS IS THE TIME WHERE NO HUMAN SHALL EVER BE EATEN BY GHOULS!! THE DARKNESS IS STILL HERE!! I WILL DESTROY EVERY LAST OF THEM SO THAT THEY ALL BE DAMNED!!!

 

Cali then mounts her horse. Banshee rushes to the Reaper from the woods. Cali slightly smiles at their reunion. The Reaper mounts Banshee and accelerates on forward.

 

Scene 2

 

The scene takes place at the plains at the same night. The Reaper and Cali are rushing to Deadtrip. The Ghouls are being trampled over Stampede and Banshee. The Reaper and Cali shoot the Ghouls that attempt to leap forward. They go into the forest at fast speed. The Ghouls are rushing towards them. Cali whips each of the Ghouls one by one. The Reaper pulls out his bow and arrow and shoots them. Some get shot in the head, others get shot in the chest. Xavier stalks the Reaper and Cali. The horses jump over a river and attempt to dodge the trees. More Ghouls get trampled over. Their brains splatter and the bones crack. When they see the mansion from a distance through the trees, they start to accelerate their horses faster. As they get closer they slow their horses down. Cali and the Reaper abandon their horses by jumping off. Brute Ghouls crush the trees as they run. Cali fires her shotgun screaming. The Reaper fires his bow and arrow. The Brute Ghouls drop down and die by the arrows and shrapnel. The Reaper and Cali turn back to back and fire at the Ghouls by the mansion. When the Ghoul numbers advance. The Reaper pulls out his machete and slices the other Ghouls nearby. The blood pours from the wounds. The blood sprays from the mutilated Ghouls. Cali then reloads her shotgun and fires it more at the other Ghouls. When the Ghouls are finally down, Xavier rushes through the trees in his ghost form and stops ten feet away from the Reaper and Cali. 

 

Cali: Let me deal with this freak!

 

Reaper: Cali....Don't die on me! I need you

 

Cali: (smiling) Okay mister Reaper, I need you too. So please don't die on me either!

 

Reaper: (turns to the mansion) I was awake when you kissed me!

 

Cali then starts to blush and feel embarassed. The Reaper runs into the house. When Cali looks back, Xavier is still waiting to fight Cali. Cali then pulls out her whip and knife. Xavier advances towards Cali. She starts to whip him but he disappears. She begins to get sliced and she can't see Xavier do so. She then gets sliced in the back and thrown onto the ground. Xavier makes himself invisible and changes into his ghost form.

 

Cali: You a greater Ghoul aren't you?

 

Xavier dashes towards Cali but she rolls away. The trees behind her are cut down. Xavier gets out of his ghost form and Cali fights Xavier with her knife. They keep on clashing onto eachother. The scene then shifts to Reaper cutting down the Ghouls with his machete. He slowly gets tired. He grabs one of the Ghoul's head and crushes it. The Ghoul's hunger gets bigger. They start to bite onto the Reaper but he pushes them off. He punches through a Ghoul's mouth. He slices one of the Ghoul's leg off and slices its head off. He then dashes through the halls killing off every Ghoul he sees. The scene shifts back to Xavier and Cali fighting eachother. Cali still continues to fight Xavier but she gets taken down. Cali then gets grappled by Xavier, he flies onto the air and does a spinning piledriver onto the grounds. Cali then gets up feeling heavily wounded. Her claw marks are visible and the blood drips from the wounds. Cali crawls to get her shotgun but Xavier puts his hand on Cali's head. She starts to be in a state of trance. The camera zooms into Cali's mind.

 

Cali: Where am I....Where am I?

 

She starts to see the Reaper and Ghouls in her mind. Then she sees the sun, flowers, towns, and valleys.

 

Xavier: (in her mind) You have been a worthy opponent besides the Reaper...Cali!

 

Cali: GET OUT OF MY MIND!!

 

Xavier: That would also be your heart, your soul, and your life! I have them in my hands now Cali...and you will watch your memories as I consume you! The Greater Ghouls have already won the war against the Reaper. Maxwell will have his revenge and you will die!

 

Cali begins to see herself as a little girl in third persective. She sees her mother hide her under the basement. The past Cali is seven years old. The father is in the room as well with a shotgun. He drinks his whiskey as there are three bandits breaking into the house.

 

Bandit 1: COME ON...WHERE WAS THAT DEAL OF OURS THAT WE HAD? YOU WERE SUPPOSE TO LEND US THE GOD DAMN MONEY!!!

 

Cali's mother: Stay under here...no matter what happens.

 

The mother heads to the first floor. The past Cali is under the basement. The present Cali just stands in fear and is shaking. The bandits break into the house.

 

Cali: DONT LOOK CALI..DONT LOOK UP!!

 

The young Cali ignores her and still looks up through the crack.

 

Bandit 2: There you are you damn fool.

 

The Bandit shoots the father down. The other bandits find the mother and shoot her down.

 

Bandit 3: WHY THE HELL DID YOU SHOOT HER FOR? SHE STILL IS A BEAUTY!!!

 

Bandit 2: Wait..she still is alive....I need some fun with her.

 

Cali: (steps back and cries) Cover your ears Cali...DO IT. DONT LISTEN TO THAT!

 

The mother screams as there are bumps sounds being heard. The men scream wildly. The past Cali cries and witnesses the whole thing. After a minute of agony the present Cali cries and is in shock by everything that happened. Then Big Teddy comes in and breaks the door open. He shoots all the bandits in one second. Big Teddy searches for the father but he hears the past Cali cry. Big Teddy comes down stairs. He appears to be younger.

 

Big Teddy: There there...its alright now girl. Im so sorry for this to happen to you.

 

The present Cali covers her face.

 

Big Teddy: The name is Big Teddy, and I was a partner of your father's. Now a pretty girl like you can be used in our service. But when you grow up, you will be a nice..fine...beautiful bounty hunter.... you want that girl?

 

Cali: PLEASE DONT SAY THE NEXT WORDS!!

 

Past Cali: I want to kill the bad guys. They murdered my family.

 

Big Teddy: But they are already dead. All I can do is offer you a new better life!

 

Past Cali: NO LEAVE ME ALONE! I WILL LIVE MY LIFE AS A BOUNTY HUNTER LIKE YOU GUYS...ON MY OWN!!

 

The whole setting disappears. Xavier floats around Cali in his ghost form.

 

Xavier: So that is why you betrayed the Reaper. You wanted to repay your man who saved you!

 

Cali: (wiping her tears) my man is Mister Reaper.

 

Xavier: He is someone's meal right now! You will die right now.

 

She swiftly shifts back to reality. She sees that the Reaper sliced Xavier's body in half vertically. The blood splatters onto Cali and the Reaper as both sides of the body fall down.

 

Cali: Mister Reaper!!

 

Reaper: Are you alright? I came back out for you. If you killed him and I died, then you would no longer live in peace just like the way I don't. If one person kills a Greater Ghoul then that person is haunted forever. Now lets go!

The story is almost about to end. What do you think so far? Besides things should clear up for Cali's past betrayl for now.

Another fantastic chapter. This one was very sad but I enjoyed it none the less.
