Episode 8: Healing Wounds

Maxwell wants the stronger part of the Reaper. Cali takes the Reaper back to his old home.

Scene 1

 

The Reaper limps on one leg as he walks towards Maxwell. The whole town is burning along with the dead Ghouls. The Reaper stops smiling and starts to get angry and impatient with his own speed.

 

Maxwell: (laughing) I see that you are having much fun. You even enjoy your own suffering.

 

All of the other Greater Ghouls laugh at the Reaper except for Xavier.

 

Silvia: this one isn't pretty as I thought!

 

The Reaper pulls out his machete and pistol. He fires at Maxwell but he misses. Maxwell dashes to one side over the other to confuse the Reaper. The Reaper's vision starts to blur.

 

Maxwell: This one aint worth the revenge. He is just an empty shell! He can't even shoot straight!

 

Maxwell rushes onto the Reaper and whacks him with the cane again and again. The Reaper keeps on swinging his machete but he doesnt hit Maxwell. Maxwell grabs the Reaper and flips him over. Maxwell curb stomps the Reaper.

 

Silvia: I bet he is a wonderful masochist. He doesn't just endure the pain, he is enjoying it.

 

The Reaper then falls down. He swings his sword but Maxwell throws his blood onto the Reaper's armor. The blood creeps through the armor and onto his body. The Reaper screams in pain. This time he doesnt enjoy it, he screams in agony.

 

Maxwell: HA HA! MY BLOOD AINT JUST RED LIQUID!! It's from the fires of hell. You see Reaper....I am the prototype of the Ghouls, the very first one to exist. But I aint gonna kill you like this. (he walks away) Fight me when you ready Reaper. I want you when you are at your strongest. None of that laughing lunatic stuff you got boy! We be at Deadtrip....and that big mansion. It's through the dark forest. You would find us when you get there!

 

The Greater Ghouls follow Maxwell. They disappear through the fire. Cali then comes from behind towards the Reaper.

 

Cali: MISTER REAPER....!!!

 

Cali grabs the Reaper and carries him on her horse Stampede. She quickly leaves the town with the Reaper.

 

Reaper: Oh thank god.

 

Cali: Mister Reaper...I aint gonna leave you again..NOT AFTER WHAT I DONE!!

 

Reaper: We gotta turn back Cali...to Deadtrip.

 

Cali: NOT YET MISTER....I GOT YOU IN MY HANDS NOW...NO GHOUL, AND NO MAN WOULD EVER TOUCH YOU AGAIN!

 

Reaper: But the Greater Ghouls....they...

 

Cali: Dont be talkin about Ghouls no more....What is the name of that old home of yours?

 

Reaper: I have no home.

 

Cali: The one you had Mister...with your mother and father.

 

Reaper: Stallhip. Thats where I use to live.

 

Cali accelerates her horse. She leaves the burning town. The rushes through the night. The scene then transitions to the mansion. Maxwell sits on a bed with Silvia next to him. He stares at a picture drawn by blood of Justine.

 

Silvia: Oh dear, I know she loved you very much, but we all have been through the same thing. but we got eachother.

 

Maxwell: Humanity declared war on us my dear. But we easily annihilate our enemies. They don't even know whats comin to them.

 

Silvia: That's because they are just live stock waiting to be eaten. and besides, you should stop focusing on her too much, I have you and you have me!

 

Maxwell: Yes....but even so, there was Billy Bob!

 

Silvia: He was a good Ghoul

 

Silvia leans her head onto Maxwell.

 

Maxwell: You don't understand Silvia. He lived through the times before humans left their castles and medieval warfare. Just like us. We were like brothers. Not in blood but in bond. He looked out after for me as a big brother, and we fought with eachother, but at that time, we were separated then I was fightin on my own, killing those damn Pagans.

 

Silvia: but for these eight hundred years, we still live and we are happy now.

 

Maxwell: HAPPY...NO...NOT UNTIL I EAT THE REAPER AND LET HIM DESCEND INTO DARKNESS!! BUT WE ARE GOING TO WAIT UNTIL HE COMES.

 

Silvia: But you left him there to die!

 

Maxwell: You think that girl would leave him to die in the fire. She feels for him dear.

 

Xavier knocks on the door. Maxwell comes to open the door. Xavier puts his claw finger onto Maxwell's head. Blood drips from the forehead and Maxwell eyes start to turn purple. Xavier pulls his claw out of Maxwell's head.

 

Maxwell: d****t, D****t, D****T!!! THE REAPER IS SUCH A COWARD NOW!!! PEACE IS SUCH A COWARDLY THING TO TAKE!!! Silvia...go get the Ghouls, and the brute ghouls. Tell them to go to Stallhip! And get Stock too, he will go and drive them out!

 

Silvia: Yes my dear.

 

Scene 2

 

The Reaper and Cali are now at Stallhip. They find the Reaper's old home. Cali knocks the door as the Reaper clutches onto her for support. He can't walk on his feet. An old man comes out of the house.

 

Cali: Sir we need help! Please....

 

Joesph: Okay Missy....the name is Joesph..we gonna care for him. Come on!

 

Reaper: What are you doing Cali? Stop this!

 

Cali: Don't listen to him Joseph! take him and treat him!

 

In the next hour of the night, The Reaper is in bandages and on his old bed. Cali sits on a chair as she stares at him. The Reaper is deep asleep. Cali comes up on the bed. She takes off her gloves. She touches the Reaper's face with one hand and his lips with her finger. She slides her hand on his neck. She then strokes his forehead. Cali then stares at the Reaper's face and then leans towads the Reaper's face. When she kisses the Reaper's lips she begins to hear voices around her.

 

Voices: Can you hear us now Cali girl? Now that we can't bother the Reaper, we may as well talk to you! even though you haven't killed a Greater Ghoul, you still are emotionally attached to him girl! We can creep up in your ears!

 

Cali: You all stop botherin him. Can't you see what this poor man has been through?

 

Voices: We see everything.

 

Cali: Why do you all clutch onto him like this?

 

Voices: BECAUSE HE KILLED US...ONE BY ONE WE DROP DOWN AND WE MAKE HIM PAY THE PRICE! OUR PRESCENCE ATTRACTS THE BRUTE GHOULS!!! THEREFORE THEY GO AND TRY TO TAKE HIM DOWN!

 

Cali: He is just a man like you all once were. Why couldn't you accept your own kind as human.

 

Voices: Fool, you are not the one to judge, because becoming a Ghoul gives you a wider perspective.

 

Cali: I am not that irrational or desperate like you folks!

 

Voices: BUT THE REAPER IS!! YOU SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO HIS INSANITY AT THAT BURNING TOWN! HE STILL IS IRRATIONAL! HE IS WHAT HE HATES!

 

Cali: Mister Reaper is only tryin to redeem himself and he can't do it alone! You always want vengance. You cling onto your old enemies and make them still your enemies. Why dont you forget? Grudges are bad you know!

 

Billy Bob: That is the nature of us! We cannot forgive and forget. But my little brother Maxwell is huntin him down. I know that because he loved me since eight hundred years ago as a brother. 

 

Cali: Billy Bob...you are the reason for this! YOU ATE HIS FAMILY ONFRONT OF HIS CRYIN BABYFACE! YOU ROBBED HIS CHILDHOOD!

 

The voices leave. They start laughing.

 

Billy Bob: You gonna rob his adulthood if you continue to baby him girl!  

 

Joesph comes in with a jug of water.

 

Joesph: My...are you alright. Let the man sleep.

 

Cali: Yea...Im fine!

 

Joseph: That man is doin alright. He was having high fevers before and I wasn't sure if he were to survive, but he did. Those cane marks of his were pretty serious Cali but he be up again.

 

Cali: I want you to leave your house right now.

 

Joesph: What, I won't be leavin this house now.

 

Cali: Please, go far away. Don't ever come back until morning!

 

Joseph: No!! I won't leave that patient!

 

Cali: You don't understand! You don't know what its like when you have evil and violent things crawling up to you all night!

 

Joseph: Miss... Did you ever hear of the hostage situation at Radiator Springs? You know..the one with the Reaper?

 

Cali: (turns her head to the Reaper) Yea I did.

 

Joseph: there was this gang, a cold blooded one. They were lookin for some of the wanted men, but the Reaper took them out before them. Then the gang took about seven hostages and sent the message to the Reaper. They said "Reaper....we have seven people in our hold. You have one week to give us ten million dollars. If you miss that week, these people are goin down cuz of your failure." And then the Reaper came in at the next day. He took out that gang within a second.

 

Cali: but he don't waste time huntin regular men.

 

Joseph: but he saved those hostages. Then when one hostage asked to repay him, the Reaper did not accept that offer. Instead, he said he is huntin somethin darker than man. That hostage didn't view him crazy as the others did, but he did save them.

 

Cali: Well....that story don't tell me why you shouldn't leave. And that thing he is huntin is something you shouldnt intefere with!

 

Cali starts to look out the window. Dark figures pass by. The Reaper wakes up immediately.

 

Joesph: Miss....I don't know what he is huntin, but I sure can understand that every man fears it.

 

A brute ghoul crashes into the door. He roars furiously. Cali comes down and shoots it in the heart. The Reaper grabs his pistol. He shoots the other brute ghouls. Joseph pulls out his shot gun. He blasts a brute ghoul in the face but the face regenerates. It grabs Joseph and throws him outside of the house. The Reaper jumps and dismembers that Brute Ghoul into pieces. He sees a large horde of Ghouls staring at him. Stock comes from the ground. Brute Ghouls surround the house.
