The Dark Messiah

The Dark Messiah

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

The Dark Messiah, do you feel
the darkest shadow
throbbing in people's hearts?
Can you hear the hate
blooming in ashen souls?

The Hand of God, get up from the knees
to which this desolate universe
has thrown you.
Regain your faith
in the most beautiful words
that are waiting today, abandoned
in a human dump.

The Vengeful One, today the last star
will fall asleep in you.
Believe that hope will be reborn
at the wrong time of year,
that the imaginary time
will come full circle.

And when you lose your last breath
in this time, when a warm ray of sunshine
shines in your purple eyes,
we will awaken, ready to fight
for humanity.

We will find the last man
whose tears will bring light
to the multiplying shadows.

The Dark Messiah, you are bound,
you are abandoned.
I know you won't run out of strength
to continue to love.

Bring rescue to those who believed
prematurely. Conquer the evil
that free will has turned into.
