Tame My Dreams

Tame My Dreams

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

I can't see the stars

that could bring a missed prayer.

I can't see the light

that would bring me a piece

of heaven.

I would like to feel

your unfinished poem,

your inescapable silence,

which cannot be lied to.

Don't swear that love

always ends at the beginning.

Show me your sin

and I'll tell you why

you were born.

Bring the most wonderful

desires this season,

love my distraught fear.

Tame my dreams, help save

black and white tears.

You are the word

that is worth crossing out.
