Orphaned Tears

Orphaned Tears

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

Your name reminds me of
my most beautiful dreams.
Hidden in silence of your birthmarks,
I seek light that will fulfill the future.

I love your borrowed fear,
I idolize all orphaned tears.
Dance with me
even though the dance floor
is painfully soft.

Staring at the sky at your feet, I look for
the source of solitude,
I expect wasteful appearances.

Injured and humiliated, I strip naked
from your dreams.
Something is bothering my words,
something is a desire
for which we will have to pay
with sorrow.

Will the dreams that I would like
to dedicate to you
pass without memories?
