My Naked Thoughts

My Naked Thoughts

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

Give me a dream that will make me
forget about the present.
Lead me to such light where
even the tiniest penumbra
does not wander.

Love has again thwarted my plans
for tomorrow's loneliness.
My time, staring in the mirror,
does not know which way to get into
my naked thoughts.

Don't avoid my dreams, they are part
of my fear. And when you decide
to go to sleep, bend over my cradle
and promise me a world I'll never know.
