Hidden Between Words

Hidden Between Words

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

You keep trying on

the same worn face.

You misjudge your first life,

give it an incorrect meaning.

You abandon the future

that lurks in

my green, still sour gaze.

Lead my body where

no hungry soul can go.

Don't pretend to love

if you don't know the rules

of the game here.

Hidden between words,

I bow to your lie, I fall

to my knees before

unknown prayers.

I cannot draw our dreams,

I cannot paint a portrait

of your loneliness.
