The Wasteland

The Wasteland

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

Rise above the sky, above the heavens

spread at my feet.

Catch up with my memories,

casually give the last sunset.

Before you pass, take a look

at my reflection

in your broken mirror.

You are an oasis in the wasteland

of my expired life.

I am playing with your dreams,

asking questions to your heart

that even silence has no answer to.

Look at the Sun before

a sleepless day devours it.
