In Love with Dreams

In Love with Dreams

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

Another tear fell away

without a trace.

Somewhere in the crowd,

I lost my last sinful word.

In love with dreams,

engrossed in mocking glances,

I float to the surface,

I get out of the shackles

of your kiss.

I come back praying

in silent words,

I find a truth that does not match

the color of your thoughts.

Tangled in the web of stars,

I breathe calmly,

without rushing.

The greedy horizon awaits

the firstborn Sun.

The Moon swears

it doesn't know

where it has been tonight.

Another deaf-mute tear

falls.

I can clearly hear

the final melancholy bell tolling.

I feel love creeping into

a desolate heart.

I love this poem. It takes you on a heartfelt journey of pain and sadness from love. The emotions just crash onto the reader in waves of sorrow. Drowning and empty of heart. Wonderful work Katarzyna I felt every word you wrote in this piece. That is what art should strive to do.
