I Am Afraid of Words

I Am Afraid of Words

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

I am afraid of words
that cannot describe your dying love.
Black blood flows
in my porcelain veins.
Let's not run away from the past.

The time will come
when eternity will be reborn in us.
The wound in my heart
is teasing me,
where your forced kiss was born.
I tried to cheat the silence,
but the wave washed
a scarlet soul ashore.

Don't talk to my thoughts,
don't try to resurrect the shadow
that has been scattered
by someone's light.
Before shooting stars give way
to confused senses,
before you take your last breath,
your sky will drown in
a cage of hope.

I look outside the wall, but I know
no one is watching.

I read this many times; a beautiful show of emotions toward a dying soul, a wordless world of moods, remembering the past, but in a sense, not wanting to face the doom that is about to come….don’t talk to my thought”…. I am silent in them. There is hope in the stars.
Lovely
Best

I read that twice .. I like it, hard to move on away sometimes when we know it is for the best - the narrator has strong conviction, the words portray this.

Well done X
