The Oasis of Your GazeA Poem by Katarzyna Anna KoziorowskaI'm in the chains of my own thoughts. I am stuck in the silence which, instead of light, carries a blue jug of freshly gathered stars. I don't want to drink the water from your hands, I don't want to deprive you of your marks on my soul. As long as the fear of love breathes in us, as long as the shadow envelops us like a black blanket of night, let us not chase loneliness, let us not try to hold back from tears. Before I drown in the oasis of your gaze, let me touch your heart, your silvery soul. I believe that I can trap the memories, trap your first scream in a cage. Before you decide to resurrect, don't forget to put your heart on the shelf.
