In Love with Kisses

In Love with Kisses

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

I see the world
in the emeralds of your eyes.
The breath from your lemon mouth
carries away salty words
and scatter them over the rooftops
of paradise.

Lips, in love with kisses,
will never meet desire.
Smiling can restore lost sins.
Blooming hands wander
the highlands and valleys
of my body map,
your sweet weight pinning me
to the silvery sky.

Before you set off into the unknown,
pray for loneliness.
And before you return
with another dream, close the door
behind you to my illusions,
to the delusions without which
my heart cannot beat.
