Unloved Tears

Unloved Tears

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

It's time to turn your scarlet life
into heartfelt death.
It's time to turn into a word
that brings a bad illusion
instead of silence.

I found such joyful pain in you
that all the stars
fell from the sky.
The white bird of my heart
is afraid of heights.
I am a blind person
who is afraid of the dark.

It is not appropriate to put
a question mark after
a declarative sentence.
The greedy twilight asks for
a bright green night
when our hearts will bloom.

Our hearts need lies to get rid of
unloved tears.
My words are stripped naked,
thoughts are telling the real future.
