I Learned to Breathe Slowly

I Learned to Breathe Slowly

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

I choked on one morning,
the first one this year.
Life, devoid of reality,
bypasses our world,
bypassing our empty tears.

The dream I found yesterday
while walking is too intrusive,
too naive.
After the last sad ray of the moon
within me passed,
I learned to breathe slowly,
without rushing.

The last blue candle has gone out,
the last look of trust has passed.
This is exactly how I imagined
the end of the world.
Fate is too lost to bring us
even a little refreshment.

The white bird of your heart
flew away to more interesting memories.
The deceived shadow
is still your most faithful
guardian angel.

Amazing imagery here :
“The white bird of your heart
flew away to more interesting memories.
The deceived shadow
is still your most faithful
guardian angel.”

Thank you for sharing this Katarzyna.
