The Orange Sun

The Orange Sun

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

My thoughts were lost
in unspoken words.
My unnatural love asks for
one dream breath.

You're playing with
my memories again,
you're trying to save my hope again.
I don't want to die of the spite
of hatred.

Show me the only way
that will lead us all to freedom
and victory.
I look forward to the silence
consumed by your deadly scream.

I am pained with persistent delusions,
I am teased by the heavy wind
that broke free
from your mouth.

Don't pretend that life is only for
the best. I peel the orange sun.
My heart relishes
the sour taste.
