The Polished HeartA Poem by Katarzyna Anna KoziorowskaI hide at the bottom of your polished heart. My crucified soul is trying to
gain a little hope, but someone
interrupted her in the middle of a sentence, someone broke her delicate skin. Melancholy covers the overworked
mouth with a thick layer of words, and a luminous, innocent shadow catches up with your tramp's feet. Will I find silence here so that she can shout out my shattered time? Will I seek a breath of love to saturate my tired hands? I have always wanted to learn to dream about the pain that brings freedom instead of
wounds. I wish to dedicate this freedom to your nostalgia, to your prophetic fantasies. Before you give me the last touch of your breath, open the window, because someone slammed the door long ago. Don't pretend your life belongs to someone else. I believe your dreams, I believe
the hope you still try to trust. I can see all your wounds from
here, all your unborn memories. Will you give me just one
raspberry kiss before the universe collapses? © 2022 Katarzyna Anna KoziorowskaReviews
