A Dead End

A Dead End

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

There will never be moments
when I have thought about love.
There will never be a time
when silence has been the best antidote.

Thoughts continue to struggle,
words squeeze through
the barred mouth.
Black and white pain
unfolds its ribbon over the heads
of those who have not been comforted.

Ubiquitous loneliness
has become a fear
of the well-known.
What everyone has been waiting
for is a dead end,
it is an endless failure.

An unnecessary poem is expecting
an imminent end.

Sad... Thoughts floating on a lonely wind... Ghosts of what might have been and a heart too tired to fight anymore. These are the things that come to me. Nicely done.

Love this part, such an emotional read here, nicely expressed
