A Nightmare Poem

A Nightmare Poem

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

Ineffable days surround me.
The future does not bring
new tears.
A nightmare poem is dying in me,
the time that was supposed to stay here
is running out.

Will the silence, hastily written on
a piece of paper,
bring about some intricate kisses?
I want sleepless nights
to become a prologue to
the innocent,
an antidote to dream thoughts.

Let's hope
that a lie can also be cozy.
Tears tired of loneliness
are louder than screams.
Close your eyes, you will see more
than when the light goes out.

Could the pain kill my dreams?
Suffering lost the fight.
Could time satisfy our desires?

Before you think one last time,
heal your life.
Your fate is dying, consumed by
golden hatred.

Full of emotion!
Could the pain kill my dreams?
Suffering from the fight.
Could time satisfy our desires?

The raw heart bleeding out from an unstaunchable wound... Emotion pours out like water from a busted pipe, flooding the reader.
