My Childhood DreamsA Poem by Katarzyna Anna KoziorowskaDon't fool my childhood dreams. Don't lie to me that love is only meant for singles. You are reborn from the pain here, your light dies in my hands. Come on, let's wake up from this supposed trip. Let time bless the light of your fresh lips, let the vengeful morning revive in us what is left of trust. Melancholy knocked on your door, the silence took its final breath away from your lungs. A beautiful lie resurrected us, pain bloomed under your eyelids. I will not let you steal the last of my heart from me. I refuse to let the light in your lips go out. Will stolen thoughts ever become a harvest for the lost? Will faith in the unknown create a void in us?
