The Silence of Screamers

The Silence of Screamers

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

Distance binds our insane hearts
together.
A whisper, quieter than silent stars,
fades away like a tear
tangled in raindrops.

My rusty soul wanders between
words whose meaning
no one knows.

Thoughts are the silence of screamers.
My untamed, unloved conscience
ends in your dream.
Pain and anxiety will pass
before you send your farewell letter
to God.

Going straight often means
walking longer.
I fell in love with your breath
and untouched beauty.

Before the last wilderness
of the night blooms, show me the steps
to purgatory.

Dying dreams become memories
that cannot live.

Wonderful poetic expression in this piece which had significant meaning for me today. I am a silent screamer.
