To See You in My MirrorA Poem by Katarzyna Anna KoziorowskaI try to trick the pain with thoughts of the locked doors of paradise. I'd like to see you in my mirror for once. I do not understand human language, I was born to cry out for your tears. The fantasy that remains in me after yesterday morning still burns in the silence of your arms. I don't know if I have enough hope to find you in the singing crowd. Again, I hug my cheek against the empty, cold pillow that will never soak up our mutual wishes. I cannot die as long as I feel the warmth of your hands caress my senses. Before pleading guilty, teach my dreams to go away without complaint. I bow the stone of my head, hoping that you will lend me just one sigh, a single moment of solitude. Teach me to dream when everyone doubts the sky at their feet. Newborn time asks for a resurrected conscience.
