The Orange of Your SunA Poem by Katarzyna Anna KoziorowskaI peel the orange of your Sun. I am savoring the sweet and sour flesh of our forbidden fruit. Nights bloom in my hips that could give a tangible, soothing dream. I collect my thoughts about you, hide them under my pillow to taste you again. I lick your salty breath from my lips, lick timid tears. I love this solemn time when I only have an azure soul left of you. I am sorry my passion is too shy to prove its existence to you. Loaned love smells so beautiful. Avoid your words, they are too gullible. Someday this night will return that will give light instead of memory. Another word cracked in my mouth. I look around, but I do not see any silence anywhere. I peel the orange of the Sun again, although I know that a new day will not come back.
