Do Not Close the WindowA Poem by Katarzyna Anna KoziorowskaI look obedient from behind the curtain of your eyelid. My body craves a bit of honesty. My destiny dreams of a hint of miraculous faith in the unknown. You put on a smile that is so hard to meet in this reality. You put a few thoughts in your head to help you look down. My love is dying in the depths of greed, life pretends to stumble over the white stone of hope. My heart is made of paper, my conscience has been politely washed and put away for later. Do not close the window, leave the door open. The cake from yesterday's twilight is still soft. Lonely tears smell like you.
