The Perfect Game

The Perfect Game

A Poem by Katarzyna Anna Koziorowska

Your life is a perfect game
that you cannot lose.
Your fate is a victorious hour
from which you will not be able
to break free.

The blood that flows rapidly
through the plastic veins
is snow-white.

Is it worth believing in voidness?
Is it so hard to believe this time
with a happy ending?

The left thought hurts me,
the unspoken word teases me.
The silence that rests in your hands
is mysterious
and unattainable.

I play hope, the green juice
running down my chin.

Man or woman... matters not
'tis the marks
as time and life meander ...bye.
The silence lives
and the echoes flow
and only dryness now behind my eyes.
I was ...WAS... here,
there, near and far...
I was...

Chris

My take on your breath. Please take no offense. None was meant.
