Reprimand

Reprimand

A Poem by Koushik Sen

Reprimand

I hope one day it all turns up
And doesn’t end
I hope when you kiss my china white cheeks
Without hate or cringe
I hope I turn red

And
I hope

The distant laugh of the spurting undertaker
Makes you hope
That

Yes I
Stand up with my uncouthly perversity
And take up their baton
But all you hear is a reprimand
Murdering the laughter.
