Light & Dark

It shines above us everyday. 

Giving us light, hope, and even comfort. 

Its rays bring us warmth. 

And everyday it never fails to be there. 

It has a radiant mixture of yellow, red, and orange.

We feel at peace when it's here. 

Brining laughter, smiles, and light to the world.

It is what we call, the SUN.

But what happens when it leaves us?

Going beyond the horizon and out of our sight?

We're left with little light

and the twinkling lights that shine above us.

When the sun is gone out comes the bitter, cold darkness,

and the scary things that dwell within it. 

We are forced to sleep until the sun comes again.

But what would take the sun from us?

What would take away our smiles,

and replace them with fear?

It is what we call, the MOON.
