The Red Jacket.A Chapter by KourtnieMy phone vibrated. I quickly jumped up and sat next to him. It was my mom. I sent her to voice mail. We sat there for a few minutes, holding hands watching the movie. Every time a kissing scene happened we would kiss for a minute then continue to watch the movie. Then, out of no where I heard a door opened. He quickly got up and said, "Wait here." He then proceeded to talk down the stairs. I was filled with fear. Why would he leave me alone in a house where I knew no one. I could hear him down stairs talking, but they weren't words that I knew. They were.. foreign. Then I realized he was speaking Spanish. For some reason, I found this attractive, I didn't know what was said, but I knew that I liked the sound of his voice in a different language. As I was sitting there, enjoying the sound of him speaking Spanish to him mom, I heard footsteps. Were they coming up the stairs? I couldn't tell. Then I saw her, this woman walking up the stairs with a small child in her arms. I was scared, didn't know what to say. She just stared at me, not saying one word. I smiled and waved to the child as she turned the corner and walked into a room. I let out a sigh of relief and slunched back into the couch. Once again I heard footsteps, watching the stairs waiting to see who it was I was scared. Then I saw him. Walking up the stairs. He had the smile that I loved oh so much on his face. I got up and gave him a bug hug and a small kiss. He asked me "Did my sister come up here?" So that's who that mysterious woman was his sister. I hope I would end up on her good side. I replied, "Umm yeah I think so." He held me looking at me with these of of serenity, filled with lust. I waited for him to speak, to hear his sweet voice. Once he spoke he said, "Let's go down stairs my mom wants to meet you." What?! Your MOM? My heart was racing and I looked away from his eyes thinking of what to say. I decided that maybe, just maybe it would be okay so I told him, "Okay, sure. Let's go." We walked down the stairs with interlocked fingers, not wanting to let go. As we reached the bottom of the stair case he let go of my hand. I immediately felt fear well up deep inside me. But I continued to follow him as he walked into the kitchen. I saw his mom and smiled as she said, "Hi, I'm Alexis's mom." I put out my hand to shake hers, still smiling and said, "Hi, I'm Kourtnie." Then behind her I saw a slightly older lady with grayish hair. She turned to me and extended her hand and said, "Hi Kourtnie, I'm his grandmother." I stuck out my hand to meet hers and she gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek. I didn't know if I should say anymore. So I stood there. His mom then said, "So Kourtnie, are you in 8th grade, too?" "No," I said. "I'm in 9th grade. I go to Churchill High school." Both his grandmother and mother looked surprised and smiled. Alex proceeded to say, "Okay mom we're going to go to the park." They had a small conversation in Spanish. Most of which I didn't understand. As we turned to walk away I whispered to Alex as quietly as possible, "What did she say?" He looked at me and said,"All she wanted to know is what time I am planning to be home." He then smiled at me making me feel happy inside and giving me those amazing butterflies in my stomach. As we reached the door he looked at me and asked me if I wanted a jacket. Looking down, realizing that I was in my vans, short-shorts, and a tanktop and it was getting dark outside I told him I would appreciate a jacket. In all reality I didn't want it for fear of being cold, I wanted it so I could smell his smell, the one that I enjoyed and it smelled so good to me. He grabbed some keys and told me to wait there. Once again a lone in this house with his family. Great. After a minute or two he returned with a big red red jacket. I looked at it in awe. It was such a beautiful red. I was happy with the jacket he had chosen for me, red being my favorite color and all, and slowly put and zipped it half way up. After I had it on I looked at him with a big smile. The jacket was big on me, to the point you couldn't see my shorts. But I liked that. The feeling of being small. This jacket of his gave me the feeling of being secure. I was happy and gave him a hug and a quick kiss. He then opened the door and we walked out the door hand-in-hand. Everything had seemed so.. unreal. Then I heard the door close tightly behind us. © 2011 Kourtnie |
