Memoire

Unfinished, and sucky. I don't like it at ALL.

He shall stand before kings, and live for eternity

When time runs at end, those who were no more will be

For there is something in the sould that cries for beauty

And sincerity

And this can only be in them…

 

And we wait in the wings, for bright lights filled with honesty

When our time meets its end, we’ll take our bow and let it be

For there are some times that we know our time of fun

And ingenuity

Must end…

 

And we follow behind them, and they take their places

And they know our faces, and we know their names

And we share a passion, in a differing fashion

And we’ll savour the night, for it won’t come again.

 

There are bells that will ring, harbingers of our destiny

And more yet again, that mark the end for somebody

And this is when we know the time

That we have free between

Means little else

 

So, we dance and we sing, and we forge our identity

We’ll meet at the gate, and laugh until our voices break

And this is when we’ll find ourselves and see…

Author's Note

It was written with two particular musicians in mind, as a sort of thankyou, because they influenced me so much and without them, I wouldn't have this love of music.
They died, and I wanted to thank them somehow.

But it's not a fitting tribute. It doesn't do them, or the depth of my graitude to them, any justice whatsoever.
