Who Need's a Fairy Tale?

I’ve always heard women say
“I want the kind of love like fairy tales”

Yeah, ok, there’s nothing wrong with that
I’ll admit I’m not much of a girly girl
but I too want to feel like a princess at times
and be swept off my feet by a prince

But the thing about princes is that they’re perfect
all dapper and proper.
Well what’s the fun in that?

I want someone who isn't afraid to be goofy
or stay up with me cuddled under a blanket watching Netflix at 2 am

I want that someone who started out as my friend
took me to prom.
The one who tells me I’m beautiful
and I actually believe it

I don’t want a dazzling prince from a fairy tale
I want you.

A prince is not always perfect. He can be insecure at times, he can also be poor, act clumsy and awkward, and long for love just like all other boys. There never was a perfect fairy tale, but there is always a perfect love :)
