Six Inches Tall

Six Inches Tall

A Poem by Courtney Rose

I dunno, I just don’t get it
Why can’t we be in the same room together
and not have me feeling I’m six inches tall

We’re family, we should be tight
but I don’t feel like your granddaughter
I feel like someone who’s just there to be poked at
picked at

At least we don’t fight
but I wouldn’t say we get along
