Chapter 7: Raiding The CastleA Chapter by KornezChapter 7 Raiding the castle
I was planning for a attack on my sister's castle, I had made a map of the place and all I needed next was an army. “Why don't you just use us?” Red asked me. “Why didn't you suggest?” I asked him in return. Vesper was laying there in the sunlight just watching us when she noticed a change in my eyes they had turned sky-blue! Afterwords I was wondering through the old forest that seemed to be a part of me now. I saw another cave. Where I found a old dragon just lying there. He was green with spinny purple eyes. At least I thought he was a 'he'. The dragon looked up. “Yes?” He asked in a crackling voice. “Hi.” I said. “Dragon's don't get along with the world today.” The dragon grumbled. I was surprised that the dragon would choose such a topic. “Well not if the dragon's were in the right place.” I said. The dragon eyed me coldly. “You don't know our history do you?” He asked. “I know somethings.” I replied. “Well at least you know something.” The dragon sighed. “So tell me wise one,” I said. “Is this where you have been all along?” The dragon stared. “You don't smell like human.” He said. “Of course not,” I laughed. “I have been living with a dragon for three years almost four.” “Does this dragon grant wishes?” The dragon asked. “Well yes.” I replied. “Well go tell her that Grenifier is waiting for a update on her.” I told this to Vesper who looked quiet shocked. “He's still alive?” She asked. I had no idea who this dragon was this Grenifier. Vesper vanished for a day and returned with a smile. She never and I mean never told me why. Man dear readers, it hurt my heart sometimes when she wouldn't trust me. It felt like a hot coal on my heart. The next day we were ready. We flew to my sister's castle I was in armor and so was my two dragon friends. I told Red not to move till I gave the signal since my sisters castle was on a very large hill. I walked up onto the hill and stood on the sidewalk. I waited. Then I saw my sister. She was looking out of one of her castle windows. I smiled at her. She just sneered. Then the sun came behind me just as I planned. That was the signal. I shone my sword to my friends and they came up. It truly was a wonderful sight seeing us with the sun behind us. I ran towards the castle gates. “Should I take the guards?” Red asked. “It isn't the guards I'm worried about,” I said. “It's my sister.” I scaled a wall and climbed up it. I don't know how I did it but I just got to the top. Then I decided to slice up a few guards. It was hard picking them off since they were well trained. I had to thank my sister for that. I loved challenges. But I did wish my sister made it all almost impossible cause' it was too easy almost. Especially with dragons around. I got to the bridge and shot an arrow at both of the guards who fell prey to my arrows. I let the drawbridge drop and we ran inside. Slice, stab, dodge and crack. We killed every guard that opposed us. I opened the door of the throne room to discover my sister wasn't there. I went to the dungeon, to the armory and some other places that my sister might be. Finally I found her in one of the top towers waiting for me. “You can't go anywhere,” I said. “Give up sis, I wouldn't harm you.” “Why?” My sister asked. “When I could of gotten all that I wished for from a disgusting dragon!” “Oh really?” I asked. She started walking backwards. “I bet you Vesper would have never submitted to your rule no matter what you would do!” I shouted. “I will kill you!” She shouted. “This is it.” I thought “I am no longer Boy but Pullus.” I replied raising my sword in defiance. “So you have come to take my throne is that it?” My sister asked me. “No I have come to destroy the greed that separated us both.” I replied. “No!” My sister screamed taking out her own sword. We battled down the stairs, through the hall, across the throne room, and out the door into the outside wall. I could say we were equally matched. “You left so I would rot in hate for five years, but thanks to you I am rich!” My sister yelled. “I never wanted to grant the wish you wished because it was foolish!” I yelled back. “You warned me why didn't you stay?” My sister asked me. “Because I couldn't live with someone who became to greedy for there own gain,” I replied. “So you became a monster!” “You are not my brother!” My sister roared. “I am your brother, I always was a brother to you!” I shouted. I was trying not to lose my balance on the wall but my sister seemed to know how to keep her balance. Vesper and Red were blasting the troops with fire everywhere. Sister knocked me off the wall and I slid down the flat wall, but I managed to stab my sword into the wall to slow myself down. I saw my sister burst out of the huge door take on top of a familiar black dragon. “Gildemus?,” I shouted questioningly. “You revived him?” “It's actually a virtual dragon made by magic.” My sister laughed. Apparently my sister must have know one or two things about it. Gildemus was a corrupt dragon I had dealt with while in a village called Soundless the dragon didn't care about anything. I had to kill him. But enough history, back to the present. I hopped on top of Vesper and we flew towards my sister. Then she took out a cross-bow and aim it at Red. “Look out!” I shouted at Red who was pretty war torn anyway. But it was too late. The arrow hit Red directly in the chest. “Red!” Vesper roared. She soared down and then I felt it, some strange ache growing inside me. Then some strange painful blow hit me in the chest. It hurt so much that I fell off Vesper. Some blood slowly trickled down my lip. “What is this?” I wondered. As I hit the dirt. “This,” A voice inside my head said. “Is called love-stroke.” Red was telling Vesper something he knew. “He just wants you to think I'm dead.” Red chuckled. “Who does?” Vesper asked Red. “The author of course.”Red replied. Then he told Vesper a secret. “I am not dead only resting until the author brings me back to the cabins of imagination.” Red said weakly. “So he resurrects you?” Vesper asked Red. He only nodded. “But why?” Vesper asked Red. “My job isn't done.” Red replied. I was screaming now it was killing me this disease they call “Love-stroke.” It was like a burning acid. Or like boiling water all from the fire. It was ripping my insides apart. As I ran up the spiral staircase my eyes were having a battle against some other colors like red, green, yellow, they were circling around my sky-blue eyes. I saw my sister jump off her virtual dragon and land on the ground in-front of me. “Fight like a man won't you?” My sister mocked. We fought but I barely had any strength left in me, the stroke was doing its work. My sister wasn't going to give up very easily, she was tired I knew that. “You hated me!,” My sister cried. “Ever since you found that dragon.” “I never hated you until you started wishing for things you didn't need,” I replied. “And to tell you the truth I love Vesper!” I said this loud enough for Vesper to hear. She must of heard it for she looked up at us. “You fool!” Sister yelled. She stabbed me with a dagger I fell backwards but I didn't give up just yet. “Its finished.” I growled at sister I stabbed her too. The castle all of the sudden started to fall apart. There was the sound of evil cackling, but this wasn't from my sister it sounded like a male voice. Where my sisters castle was there was another even bigger castle. Vesper flew off at my command. I walked up to the castle and snarled. A man stepped out. “Bravo,” He said. “And you are?” I asked. “The king.” the man said. I was sanding on a wall part so I was slightly above him. “What is this?” I asked. “It's my castle.” The king said. “Where you using my sister in anyway?” I asked. “No.” The king shrugged. That's all I needed to know. I turned away and wondered back to my cave. It took a huge amount of energy to make it there. Once I stepped foot into the cave I collapsed. Vesper woke me up. Probably some hours later. I was pretty beat up but she patched me up anyhow. “You handled your sister pretty well.” Vesper commented. “She was going crazy anyhow.” I replied. “How bout' we go to the meadow again tomorrow with your sister gone I don't see anything that would interrupt it.” Vesper said. “Well there was this king there-” I began. “Please?” Vesper asked giving me those eyes that would melt a spiders web woven a hundred times over. I forgot about the mysterious king and jumped on Vesper but then I thought of something. “Hey Vesper mind if I took you somewhere?” I asked. You see readers, Vesper would take me to the nice and peaceful places while I took her to the dangerous places. I just wanted to show her how much I cared. We headed to a different meadow. When we got there Vesper gasped. The whole entire place was filled with shinning flowers and beautiful rivers of blue. And there were tree's everywhere. Vesper turned to me. “Did you make this?” She asked. “With a few helping hands.” I said pointing to a few birds. Vesper livened up which always made my mind a little crazy, like it just got turned into jelly. “Well this is nice.”She sighed.. “Just watch the sunset its beautiful.” I said. The sunset made everything shadowy. And that was impressing. “Boy?,” Vesper asked me staring. “Yes?” I answered. “Was it true everything you told your sister?” She asked. “Every word.” I replied. “Really?” She asked a little excited. “Vesper I had love-stroke.” I told her. Vesper's eyes widened. “Did I hear that right, you said you had love stroke?” Vesper asked me. “Yep.” I said. “So that's where all the blood came from.” Vesper chuckled. I stood up. “Before we do anything else I would like to ask you something Vesper.” I said. “And what is that?” Vesper asked. “Well you are the queen of the evening star,” I said. “And?” Vesper asked. “Can I be your mate?” I asked her. Vesper laughed, but seeing how serious I was she stopped. “Yes Pullus you may.” She replied lovingly. “We will have to make plans.” I said smiling. “You will have to.” Vesper said. “Your going to help.” I said. This time Vesper couldn't argue. I was nineteen when I popped the question. And my dear readers this probably was the most happiest moment in my time. It took me five years to earn my dragons love. © 2016 Kornez |
