Chapter 5 The real Pullus (Also called rescue.)

I didn't know Vesper had been dragon-napped until I came back to the cave. (Which was a day later.) I seemed to have noticed the young girls footprints trailing out of the cave, as soon as they left the cave the thing that struck my mind is that the footprints got bigger and bigger till they were dragon's footprints. Then I realized that it was Vesper who was following me, Vesper who was captured,vesper-. It was too shocking, all this time she had been following if only did I realize but it was too late.

“No it isn't too late.” I thought.

Vesper now, was as tall as two horses stacked on each other. I took off running. Who ever stood in my way I would kill for I was no longer Boy but Pullus!. I ran out of the forest towards the castle, it was bigger than I imagined it. also was big enough to hold any dragon any day. But that didn't stop me. Vesper was there probably waiting for me. No she was being held captive. But no more, I will just go in rescue Vesper and pop a question and have a-lot of kids.(That was the plan anyway.) As soon as I got into the dinning hall I knew I wasn't me I was a man of untellable talent. The hall was large with all its flags and long tables. There were uncountable chairs. In the very center of all these chairs was my sister. She looked older. I listened to my sister brag about the fact that she had Vesper and that she would soon have me then we would be a happy family.

“Fat chance!”I thought.

As soon as everyone had sat down to eat I decided that this had gone far enough. I stood up and snook out of the room two guards blocked me from going anywhere.

“We have orders that no-one is allowed in the dungeon unless you have acceptance from the queen.” One guard said.

I cocked my head and glanced behind the guards to see a couple men standing at the jail door.

“So what are they doing there?” I asked the guard. The guards looked over their shoulders and looked embarrassed.

“Uh...they are the queens special guests.” The guard swallowed.

I groaned and sat back in my seat.

“So where did you go?” Sister asked me.

“Oh, just talking to the guards.” I replied casually.

“Eager to get your hands on my dragon are you?” My sister giggled.

“Just a look?” I asked.

“Not yet mister.” Sister chuckled. I picked up a piece of bread and poked a hole in the middle and threw it like a Frisbee to my sister. It landed at her plate and she looked at it surprised. I stood up and smiled pleasantly.

“As you know, I am here.” I said. My sister looked so baffled.

“Sis' you couldn't catch me for the world.” I said. My sister was furious.

“Guards!” She shouted.

“Don't do it sis'!” I shouted.

“It'll only end badly.”

My sister didn't want to listen to me but I tried to get her attention.

“Its your fault I left, if you hadn't made such a ridiculous wish we would still be together.” I said.

“Oh!” My sister growled in fury.

Two guards surrounded me side to side.

“Take him to the dungeon.” Sister growled.

I had one trick left up my sleeve. I took out a sword and a dagger and stabbed both guards at the same time. Then jumped towards the door and kicked them open, I spun around and waved to my sister politely then ran. I ran down a spiral staircase and opened a door. There was a line of people standing near a prison door, I was worried that this line would take too long but then I was pushed back by a guard.

“Sorry son its not your turn.” The guard wearily said.

I stood behind the long line of people and waited. The hours were agonizing and Vesper's roaring screams were a nightmare. They felt like a million needles stabbing my brain. And the screams pricked my heart. Then just when I couldn't endure anymore the guard opened the door for me.

“There you go kid last in line.” He said quietly.

It was dark inside Vesper's cell but when my eye's finally got accustomed to the darkness, I saw Vesper huddled in a corner. Despite all the cobwebs and dust. She was a mess! Cuts, gashes, stabs, burns anything you can imagine, indeed she was a mess. Then she started hissing. I wasn't that scared but then she moved for the kill. She lunged forward and snapped her jaws at my face. “Yikes.” I thought.

I was only a couple inches away. I raised a iron that was red hot but it turned blue cause' of how angry I was. I dropped the iron and took off my helmet. Vesper stared at me in surprise then she recoiled back into a curled position.

“Boy?” She said in surprise.

I couldn't control myself I was furious. I started chopping off her chains just to cool myself down. It didn't work. I was seething with anger still, when Vesper tried to calm me down I pushed her away. I realized that I was crying bitterly and sadly at the same time.

“Of all the murder!” I shouted.

“I will kill her Vesper, I will kill my sister for this!” I said.

“And after-ward once this is done you may do anything you want to me vesper I don't deserve to live!” I cried.

Vesper shook her head.

“Its not your fault-” Vesper tried to say but was interrupted by me.

“It is!” I cried.

“It is my fault you were captured its my fault you are in this condition.” I sobbed.

“And if you don't kill me then so help me I'll kill myself!” I cried, some blood trickled from my mouth. Vesper looked very sad.

“Come here.” Vesper whispered.

I thought she was going to kill me so I approached her but what she did was unexpected, she hugged me. I thought I saw a tear drop from her eye. “Its not your fault.” Vesper whispered her voice was shaky.

“I forgive you I know its hard on you humans to understand but at-least I understand your conflict.”

I stepped back and smiled at her I felt better already. She leaned forward and licked my dirty face.

“Your a mess.” She said.

“She just licked me, again!” I thought excitedly.

“Let me get the door.” I said.

Really I was just finding a excuse to get away from her. I ran out to see a lever.

“What does this do?” I wondered.

I pulled the lever and a part of the wall opened. The sun light hit Vesper's scales and I was shocked, she looked even worse in broad daylight! We flew all the way back to the cave and Vesper landed.

“I'm exhausted.” Vesper sighed.

“Who's that?” She asked looking at a sleeping red dragon on the top of the cave.

“Oh that's Red,” I said smiling.

“Our spy for sister and he's very friendly.”

Red snorted and opened an eye.

“I didn't know we had a visitor!” Red shouted.

He waved. Vesper waved back with a slight laugh.

“His eye's are orange that's cute.” Vesper said.

“I think a nice hot blanket should be in order.” I said.

“Really?” Vesper asked her eyes were brightening up.

“Oh yes,” I said.

“And I will make sure it is done.” Vesper practically collapsed inside the hay room then she stated to shiver it was cold.

But then something landed on her and it hissed. Vesper looked over to see a blanket steaming on top of her. She growled contently. Then she saw me just sitting in a rocking chair just waiting. When-ever the blanket got cold another-one would be in its place. I took care of Vesper even though I was cold myself. Vesper finally got better and stronger than she was before which was good. She heard me sneeze and she glanced at me. I only smiled just to show her I was alright. But something in her eye told me I wasn't alright. I laid in the hay and tried to sleep but I couldn't I knew I had caught a cold. I walked over to Vesper and confessed she only nodded.

“Come here.” She said waving a talon to me I approached her and she lifted a wing.

“You will stay warm you will be coughing a-lot though.” Vesper snickered. I crawled under her wing and was concealed in complete darkness. And just as Vesper predicted I coughed a-lot. I was better the next morning but I promised my-self not to act strong again so much. I was a very happy guy for Vesper was very happy to have me back and we were a family again.

“I think I'm strong enough to fly.” Vesper said raising her wings.

“I have never flown before except for when I rescued you from Sister,” I said.

“When she finds out we escaped that will give her a good reason to pull her hair out.” Then Vesper laughed cheerfully. I jumped onto her back and eagerly awaited the take-off.

“You alright up there?” Vesper asked me.

“More than ready.” I said.

“Hold on!” Vesper shouted.

We took off above the tree's, soaring.

“Wa-hoo!” I shouted.

“You think this is fun watch this!” Vesper shouted above the wind. She did a flip and dived towards the ocean.

“Whoa!” I shouted.

We hit the the water with a SPLASH! I couldn't see any thing for a moment, then my eyes got used to the water, oh the things I saw would amaze you. Too much for words. Vesper exploded out of the water I gasped for air but I realized I was laughing with glee.

“Thought that was fun?” Vesper asked me.

“Again!” I shouted.

And I was in for another splash. We did this for a while just splash in and out, in and out. Finally it was Vesper who collapsed and gasped for air she was laughing too. I slid off her and flopped beside her.

“Yeah that was fun!” I shouted.

“You know its funny, you humans can only hold your breath for so long while us dragons could hold it for days.” Vesper giggled.

I rolled onto my backside and breathed some air. Vesper loomed over me and looked at me in the eye.

“If you think that was fun you should see the meadow.” Vesper sighed. I stared a her.

“Meadow?” I asked in a curious tone.
