Chapter 14: Time

“I expected you,” Said a Blacksmith to a cloaked and hooded figure.

“You have finished it right?” Asked the stranger.

“Yes, but what are you going to do with it, it's awfully powerful,” Said the Smith.

The stranger took out a gun.

“I'm going to use it, to kill the warrior of Sun City,” Said he, then he pulled the trigger.

Johnny pushed open a door. Inside this strange clock tower was just a bunch more clocks. A man sitting in a corner saw Johnny come in.

“You shouldn't be here,” Said he.

“Oh, yes he should,” Said a voice.

A man with a watch or two stepped out.

“you must be Warrior,” Said the man.

Johnny had quite gotten used to people calling him this.

“You must be Time,” Said Johnny.

“Yes, the master of the sands and space,” Said Time smiling.

“The master of imprisonment more like,” Yelled the man in the corner.

“Quiet you!” Yelled Time.

He turned to Johnny.

“You have been quite the talk of Sun city, unfortunately someone in the dark wants you dead,” Said he.

Johnny couldn't help but stare at the man in the corner, why was he so familiar.

“What's your name sir?” Asked Johnny.

“I used to be called Truth the third, I once was father to a wonderful family, I lost it all, when I came here to stop him,” Said the man

“Do you have a name?” Asked Johnny.

“Melzo,” Replied the man.

Time was walking toward a door at the other side of the room.

“Don't let him leave!” Shouted Melzo.

Johnny reached out and with a authoritative voice told Time to hold it right there.

All the clocks froze. Time chuckled.

“Well, well Melzo, we found the third time,” said he.

Melzo looked at Johnny with amazement.

“Congrats Warrior, you fell into my trap,” Said Time.

“My name is not Warrior, my name is Johnny,” Said the warrior.

Melzo looked up, his eyes wide with horror and recognition. “Johnny?” Melzo gasped.

Johnny turned to Melzo.

“My son,” Melzo said.

He glared at time

“You said he was dead!” He shouted.

“He supposed to be,” Said Time looking at a clip board.

“He's standing in front of you, and he's my son!” Shouted Melzo.

“I know where Joe is,” Said Johnny.

“He's alive too?” Asked Melzo.

“Moms dead,” Said Johnny.

“She can't be!” Cried Melzo.

He turned and glared at time.

“You set me up!” He shouted.

“Time has no boundaries,” Said Time smiling.

Johnny had been silent the whole time they spoke. He looked at time in triumph.

“But even Time, can be stopped!” He shouted.

He charged at Time. They fought around the clocks.

“Time, your time is up!” Johnny shouted.

Time, slowly turned to dust.

The whole place started to crumble.

“He's no longer in control!” Shouted Melzo.

They ran up the winding stair as the clock tower collapsed.

They jumped through the door as the last of it clanged into the earth. “I'm so sorry I left Johnny,” Said Melzo.

“It's not your fault father,” Said Johnny helping his father up.

“We are all at fault for letting the lies sink,” Said Johnny.

“Sun City is doomed if Rexor gets that weapon,” Said Melzo.

“Weapon?” Johnny asked.

“You'll see, if he hasn't used it first,” Said Melzo.

“How did Time know where we lived?” Johnny asked.

“He didn't, he brought me here, to bring you,” Said Melzo.

“We better get back, who knows what Rexor has been up too since I've been gone,” Said Johnny.

“What has Rexor made you do?” Melzo asked.

“I have been a assasin, killing people that are according to him, a danger to Sun city,” Said Johnny.

“How many?” Melzo asked.

“Eight,” Said Johnny.

Melzo nodded, they walked back to the City.
