Chapter 11: Mr. Can't DecideA Chapter by KornezChapter 11: Mr. Can't decide
Johnny wondered till he found a pub. He walked in and sat at a table. “You can't decide where to go?” Asked a man sitting across from Johnny. “More like I don't know what to do,” said Johnny. “You sound like me, for I too, can't decide on things, I've tried and tried, but often the choices we make are the wrong ones, so I stopped choosing and sat here,” Said the man. “We are allowed to chose, it makes us who we are,” Said Johnny. “Ah, but for me, I cannot choose, for all the choices we make could be laughed at by historians for centuries to come,” said the man. “You chose to come here,” Said Johnny. “Ah, it's the only good choice I had,” Said the man. “Say, if you choose to go home, is that a choice?” Asked Johnny. “Is it a decision?” The man chuckled. “I go home, because I have no other place to go,” said the man. “You decided to go home, because home is your comfort, is your place, is your world,” Said Johnny. The man stood and walked out of the bar leaving Johnny all alone with the bar keeper. “That's the first time he decided to leave,” Said the bar keeper. “He chose to leave, now we can hope and pray he won't come back and wonder where or what to do afterwords,” Said Johnny. “Can I get you anything?” The bar keeper asked. “No, I'm good, I don't drink anyway,” Said Johnny standing. “Against?” The bar keeper asked. “I'm too young,” Johnny grinned. Then he left the bar keeper who stood there in astonishment. © 2016 Kornez |
