Anti-Bullying Poem

Don't make fun of me
Don't laugh!

Don’t be shocked, don’t even laugh

I'm a squid, good for health and tasty
People call me Ojingeo (squid)
When people stand next to me, they call me Ojingeo 
I don't think I'm ugly

if I’m a squid, if I’m really a squid

Are you all octopus?

Are you all flukes?

Are you all flounders?

What’s so much better about you than me anyway?

They make fun of me saying "Hey, Ojingeo" when I arrive
They make fun of me saying "Bye Ojingeo" When I leave
When I get some fresh air, they make fun of me,

calling me I'm a half dried squid
Whatever I do, they call me Ojingeo

Everyone wants to be the best, there’s no need

to adjust your life to others like lego blocks

Parboiled squid, fried squid, squid sausage,

choose whatever, because I’m a squid

When my feelings are hurt, you will get hurt too
When I'm sick, you'll get sick too
When you're hurt, my heart will get hurt too

Leave me alone, please go!

Girls call her Doenjang-nyuh (gold digger)
They call her gold digger because she was just holding something
I don't think she is
If she is really Doenjang-nyuh,

Then ae you cheese girl? Margarine girl?

Balsamic girl?

What makes you think you're better than her?

They make fun of her, calling her Doenjang-nyuh
When she buys a new bag,
when she drinks a cup of coffee
They make fun of her, calling her Doenjang-nyuh
when she eats real Doenjang (soy bean paste)

Everyone wants to be the best, there’s no need

to adjust your life to others like lego blocks

Stew, rice wrapped in greens, pancakes, soup,

Choose whatever you want
Becuase she's Doenjang-nyuh

When my feelings are hurt, you will get hurt too
When I'm sick, you'll get sick too

It's good, Doenjang is good (soybean paste)
Some people really need Ojingeo (squids)

they need to exist for someone

Ojingeo (squids) can be a nice meal for someone
Try it, speak after you try it
Try it, in what ways are you better than me

My first thought is if you're gonna bully someone, put it in writing, but make sure it's indisputable and based on a just cause. As with a lot of things, there is a right way to bully, and a wrong way. I think a lot of people get bullied because they have good character. I also think they get bullied because they don't sell out. I kind of get your word play. It's good to see you pondering silly and ignorant things. You're working on your Walt Disney personality, I'll bet. Cool.

Could really feel the pain and hurt inside this poem. Really echoes inside you. How destructive and nasty bullying someone is. Wicked, mean and nasty. For no reason at all. Just because they want to be cruel and are so by what they say and do!

I would rather be poor. To which I am. Just to have roof over head, food in stomach and a good man. And I have everything. Money is not everything. It makes some people more greedy and needy and selfish.
So be proud of where you came from it made you who you are today. A really nice down to earth, humble, decent guy with a good heart and a warm oul. Any day. I would prefer you. To some mean and selfish rich person. Who can not see anyone else. Just their own need and wants.

Ah , I loved it..And specially the repetition of line

it worked out for me..I loved this one because this was different from writings that you wrote here earlier...And the way you wrote it , be it squid , octopus I loved it..Actually , I am among those people for whom Light hearted jokes are alright but if someone starts bullying , the that's harassing someone...I don't like the way they attack you on the way you look , your physical appearance..I am like I just love myself , however I look , it doesn't matters..I loved the meaning behind this poem...

This is a light hearted and playful way to approach the issue of bullying which can have deadly consequences. The ganging up to attack a particular individual is just plain nasty. Picking on people, for no other reason than their appearance, their gender, their sexuality, their faith is the pits in my book. You have conveyed a strong message here.

this reads like you had fun writing it ..the theme is an important one and with the instant ease of the internet it has gotten deadly ... many years ago when i went to college (the first time) a fellow student from China invited several of us to his home to have a traditional meal...it included all kinds of stuff but what i remember is the octopus .. i had never had it or anything like it before .. kind of chewy, great sauce.... not bad! ;) i like the assertion that we are all trying to do our best ... and the repetition that we are all connected .. it would help us a lot as human beings if we all remembered that more often ... soooooooooo Mr. Squid ... you are at the right place to spread your ink around. ;)

Well the harassment on size shape figure or skin tone is what I'm seeing since childhood...if you want to live fullest and eat and drink then others problem is you're fat or pumpkin...well nothing different on a skinny girl but only few...if she tries to be fit and eat less then many marvellous comments are available like, matchstick, needle, toothpick and what not!!.....
Well pumpkin and matchstick both are good in life no?!....I liked your concept on bullying and suggestions on being carefree to such harassment....Good one!
