This is a poem that leaves many questions in the reader’s mind. After we look at other things on the page, such as your artwork, we piece together what might have happened, but it’s impossible. I appreciate how you pour your heart out in this poem with so much feeling, but I wish you could also pull yourself together as a writer, & not just be a mourner pouring out disjointed thoughts. Turn your sadness into art. I love the picture you drew. I love that you feel this way about your sister, a warmth that does not exist in my own family (widespread abuse). There’s so much beauty in your words & I hope you remember to paint us a more complete word picture in coming poems so we can understand a full situation when you share something as touching & personal as this! Thank you! I mostly wrote on how much I miss her. She was murdered by my mother and stepfather and her body was dumped.

This sounds like a horrific experience for you & your family. I know that writing about how much you miss her is important & you poured your heart out with intensity. But I still feel this poem does not fill the huge space of shock & horror that the reader feels when finding out this sad chapter in your life! I know it's hard to get down to the details when it comes to deep pain -- it's the same way for me, when I try to write about my childhood abuse. People tell me I don't go into it deep enuf.

Its so heart breaking...Its beyond what I can even imagine..She looks so innocent in this photo...You know she will always be with you no matter whee she is...I wish that at least you will find her corpse...I am feeling short of words to write about this tragedy...

Her corpse still hasn’t been found and it most likely won’t. It’s probably been eaten away by wild animals.

My step father was a cruel man. He had beaten her to death and burned her with cigarettes because she stole pieces of rice since he often starved us.

It's beyond heart wrenching moments must be of you!!
A caring sister if leaves us without knowing what was our lack in loving her...does pricks the heart each time she's recalled...your drawn picture seems alive with you love towards for your sister.....She does loves you still no matter in which corner on earth she's! Ameen😊

What you are experiencing must be absolute torture. From what you have indicated you are sure that your sister has died but she has not been found. I can't imagine how difficult that must be. Your poem is full of love and longing for her. I can tell how very much you miss her through your expression. The drawing you have posted is endearing, something for you to treasure as is her photograph. I wish you some peace Ji-Suk.

I'm positive she's not living, but it would be nice to have her body.
