Step FatherA Poem by 송지석 / Ji-Sukwarning, this poem isn't for weak stomachs
Why...Why did you cause pain to us?
Did your heart not feel any sadness or pity for our crying hearts? Were you just blinded by your greed for alcohol as you beat us with anything? I still have those scars caused by you, but the scars in my heart won't disappear no matter what. I remember the time I accidentally spilled a glass of milk, you forced me to stand atop on broken glass shards and pins Crying in pain, you did nothing but laugh at my misery Are you really human? What did I do to deserve your torture? I was only a small child yet you made our lives a living Hell The brutal beatings we endured as we were the brunt of your anger outbursts Don't give me that excuse that you were a victim of child abuse You should have made our rotten life better unlike yours, but you did not Don't give me any more excuses to excuse your abuse, you only did it for your desire to be sexually pleased Like the day when you forced me to perform oral sex at age six when I knew nothing about it Or when you molested my ten-year-old brother to satisfy your sexual hunger Were we just pigs to the slaughter? We were only children but you used us Your anger, where did it come from? Even if I may have angered you by accident when I was young, it's no excuse Why did you force this life onto us?
I sometimes wonder what my life would be if it was different? Would my heart feel the same or would it be different? © 2018 송지석 / Ji-SukReviews
