To My To-Be WifeA Poem by 송지석 / Ji-SukBetween the scattering flower petals You blew over to me when I was exhausted Slowly melting my heart A small dream started to bloom Into a spring that resembles you I was standing at the edge of a cliff The flowers withered and fell to the floor Just like me, so coldly But you’re the one who held onto me when I was dying It was hard to even to say thank you, in case I fell down again I want to peacefully swim in your blue ocean Now I’ll tell you, thank you, you’re my world You give me warmth Stay with me always Even after a long time passes Just like this, I’ll protect you Just as beautiful as you are I can breathe through you When my heart grows weak and I stop my steps You hold me I’m thankful that it’s us The light that shines in the darkness Stay with me, remember these happy moments Never forget, I’m by your side This moment I wanted so desperately with you I’ll remember it forever Our hands held tight, I won’t let go You give me warmth Stay with me always Even after a long time passes Just like this, I’ll protect you Just as beautiful as you are My life was extinguishing but you were the candle I engraved those words in my heart Waiting for that day when I could smile again I’m running toward you I believe in that light, the miracle that my earnestness gave me I was standing still and you blew over to me From now on, the flower blooming spring days Become the path for you and me, I’m so thankful Now I’ll hold onto you This moment I wanted so desperately I’ll remember it forever Just like this, I’ll protect you Just as beautiful as you are © 2018 송지석 / Ji-SukReviews
