Friend And Mother

Friend And Mother

A Poem by 송지석 / Ji-Suk

Please fill it up a little more, my friend
Because I am feeling more lonely today
The moon in the sky is bright
But it doesn’t shine into my shattered heart
Don’t go, It’s not time to go, friend
Will you take away some of my sadness for me?
Will you fill my bad memories with good ones?
No matter how hard I try to avoid mother
She keeps popping up
What are you doing right now, are you thinking abou me?
Are you sleeping already forgetting about your own son?
Do you need me by any chance even though you turned your back on me?
Did you forget all about me in this neverending darkness?
Every second, without stopping
All of me is headed toward you, friend
Suddenly, I’m pressing your number again
To forget you, mother but
The more I did that, the more I looked for you
The more it made me remember you despite the misery you caused me
If I kept busy
I thought I’d be okay
But it’s not as easy
Because I’m remembering you again
Sorry I still haven’t let go of you, mother
I can only endure this pain if I get drunk every day, mother

Life fall into circles. Hard to forget something and some people.
To forget you, mother but
The more I did that, the more I looked for you
The more it made me remember you despite the misery you caused me"

You are welcome.
let time starts healing your wounds and eventually you will feel better

This is heartbreaking! So very, very sad. The pain and the ambivalence come across loud and clear. To love someone who abuses you is the ultimate agony. However, seeking refuge in booze is never a good solution. At best it offers a temporary respite. While this may seem sufficient at times, in the long term it will cause you permanent harm.
Make peace with your demons, my friend, and live a full life.
