Void

Void

A Poem by 송지석 / Ji-Suk

With these tiny, worn out hands, striving to fill this void, I gathered my memories
What I hold in these hands of mine
Is courage made of handpicked flowers.
The strength to protect what's dear to me
Love Kindness I don't care if I have to throw it away
As long as I can protect you
The weakness to lose faith in that dream
I'll take on everything that is thrown at me and wait for the morning dawn for the sake of my loved ones

If I reach my hand, will you take my hand and believe in my unyielding faith
We can make it through the night because you're by my side
You saved my life when I thought my cracked heart couldn't take anymore, so I'll return that favor
Even if it's my fate to be hurt by his cruel world, my heart sill emanates color

The fragility to lose faith in everything when you reach a crossroad
Even if I can't stand anymore, I'll press on with my faith that morning will come
If I can protect what's dear to me
I'll
take on everything that is thrown at me and wait for the morning dawn for the sake of my loved ones

I don't mind if the things I think are right all turn out to be mistaken
As long as I managed to protect you and cherish that beautiful smile of yours

If I reach my hand, will you take my hand and believe in my unyielding faith
We can make it through the night because you're by my side
You saved my life when I thought my cracked heart couldn't take anymore, so I'll return that favor
Even if it's my fate to be hurt by his cruel world, my heart sill emanates color
