DOGHEART BLUES

I'm not bitter turned inside

cause life is just a wagon ride

to me I don't care which way

of politics my mind it stings

of wars and rights and petty things

it keeps me laughin  most a the day

so I'll just pack my bags and go

there ain't no reason to stay anymore

there wasn't a reason in the beginnin friend

there won't be a reason in the end

at love I tried my luck one time

but fate would not let it rhyme

no more of that game will I play

of sad conclusions rulin mind

odd disturbances of odder kind

it plays at circumstances like artist's clay

philosophy used to be my line of work

and in these writings I thought there lurked

reasons for our time and our ways

but I'm not gonna sit and cry

cause I couldn't find an answer to the reason why

and if I did who'd listen anyway ?

so I'll just pack my bags and go

there ain't no reason to stay anymore

there wasn't a reason in the beginnin friend

there won't be a reason in the end
