Lost Love

What's love that's never been there from the start? What would you call the mutual connection between the two people?

Pain, abuse, and sorrow
His love was showed.
Slaps to the face and kicks to the stomach.
Broken bones and miscarried babies.

Purple and black
All she ever saw.
Sorry printed all over the walls.
Blood stains that corrupted the floor.
But still she stayed.

Until one day
That final nerve was pushed.
The one that sent her to her grave.
But she dug it and jumped in herself.
Having no intention to ever return.

Destroyed by the man
Who showed love with fists and insults.
Buried beneath lost files.
The files of lost love.
