On the Beach

Sitting with my feet in the sand

On the edge of the continent, me,

I watch my world rotate with daybreak.

My feet sink back into desert grains again

As I look over an ocean of reasoning and doubt.

 

My world rotates toward

You, sunshine. You shead Light

On the darkness that surrounds me.
