avocado Love

avocado Love

A Poem by Kole Matheson

I know a place where desert grains reign

As gust swept Queens to Kings wind, rain.

And they are right together.

They show like night's light what is hardly seen.

Some eyes see the reflected light.

Interpret—some see their love,

Watch their love and you will see.

The sun is in my eyes.

Circle, blues and purple, crescent moon

Fall—in—through their Kingdom.

The breeze is warmer next to you.

Bodies overlap

Toe to toe with kissed elbows.

I kiss you nose, it crinkles like an avocado—

—Peel.

Peel me darling.
