Broken Stem

My womb is broken

The stem below my gut
Is winding and twisted
Its wilted petals don’t take in sunlight
The roots go far and stretch wide
Yet it seems to be planted in a desert
Where water is scarce and the land is dry
And though it is still desirable
All it wants is to bloom
