Umbrella

You’d keep me dry and warm

You shield me from the rain -
In torrential downpours, I merely feel a drizzle.

Your keep the sun from my face -
When it’s blazing, you keep me cooler.

You’re fun to play with -
I’d twirl you and watch your pretty colors swirl.

I take you for granted -
For now I’ve lost you, and I’m wet and cold.
