Where Are YouA Poem by KoielI can’t feel you
I look over my shoulder at the empty spot on the bed in which you used to lay with me. I look up at the ceiling with my blistering eyes that haven’t shut in days. My bones ache for your hands. Just a touch, just the tips of your fingers - that’s all I’d need. My ears twitch at the thought of your voice, so deep and soothing. I try to close my crusted eyes.
“The ocean baby,” you used to tell me. “Think of the ocean...” I try to think of the ocean. But all I can see is you. Where are you? © 2017 KoielAuthor's Note
