Moonlight

Moonlight

A Poem by Kohleen

I want a marvelous dance in the moonlight,
A magical swim in the starlight,
A warm slumber where there is no flight.
With you, my love, I'd spend all night
Just breathing and needing
Only each other as we stare at our eye's light.

Tonight I feel lovely, so lovely indeed;
I've realized you're the only thing I'll ever need.
And if I need to follow, you'll be there to lead.
So come with me, my love, and we'll be freed
From this ugly world in which we live;
We shall escape every drop of cancer's greed.

Tell me, will we wander the earth in time?
Singing our song in a graceful, endless rhyme?
Will we sleep on the forest floor during summer's prime,
When shadows race and stars climb -
The place beyond the pines.
Tell me, will we be lovers in a virtuous crime?

If so, run, run away with me.
Our love can and will be the only key.
We can hide among the flaming sea
Set far off on the smiling tangerine tree
of the sun's brilliant and hopeful rays.
Yes, my love, come with me and we'll be free.

I really like it :) for me its more about love, it's about escaping life itself with something you personally love. Amazing job :) 100/100

Trimmed up a bit, this would make lovely lyrics to an acoustic guitar/piano tune. Thanks for sharing
