A Poem by Kohleen

Speak to the wind that howls and the water that raves,

Speak to the lonely and to that which braves.

Climb the mountains, shout your name,

Whisper with the forgotten, it's all the same.

A voice is what you need but if without

All you need to do is never doubt.

The world will hear you if you believe,

The world will see you if you achieve.

Run from battle but never fear,

Face it head on and jump the pier.

Raise your fist for what you think,

Don't let the croud pull you in to sink.

Chase the leader until you're in his spot;

Escape the law and don't ever get caught.

hmmmm. Good poem, Ms. Kohleen. The rhyme scheme superb as always! But I must say that Ms. Kohleen you can do better. You must allow your imagination to create your words and enhance the experience you speak of! I need to feel exactly what this courage is you speak of! Tell me how I will Pierce through fear's brick walls, as I jump the pier! Think of a poem as a canvas and you must invent ideas like you would with paint! Go! WE ARE GODS ON PAPER! OUR DUTY IS TO CREATE!!!

Annie Oakley has nothing over you, darling daughter of the muse! Take up the shield, the sword and spear... follow your heart toward what is dear. For therein will you find that journeyed hill is worth the climb.

I think the poem is intended to inspire the poet herself.
This is also motivational for others.
Like the confidence in her writing.
