A Chapter by Kohleen

1004 ~
A commoner is what I was, A simple pretty girl who mended the clothes of those coming from battles too ghastly for a mere maiden.
I lived the wars anyway, despite my lack of presence. In my head. I heard the voices of all those slain by aggressions hand. I heard the men who not long before spoke to me in a righteous tones. And I heard the men they in turn had brutally slaughtered.
There was one, though, who when surrounded as I was by death's grasp, did not stoop to malevolent or loathsome ways.
He remained pure. Uncorrupted.
My first love, my first light.
